We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team in The Thornwood Partick. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. This includes pitching in with KP duties as all our chefs do.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment.
Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
We are a small friendly hard working team and this position would suit someone looking to learn more and gain some experience in a busy kitchen.
