We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety standards and the ability to collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience is an advantage, particularly in high-volume settings.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
