Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food products. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report shortages to the head chef. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious meals. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a fast-paced setting. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
