We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie /Junior Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. They will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our restaurant and bar meals success.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the Head Chef.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment.
