Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our front of house team to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional meals to our guests.

Keep in mind that duties may require working in shifts and during weekends and bank holidays.

Our Kitchen delivers French, Mediterranean cuisine and English classic with a twist.

Rental accommodation available if needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety regulations are followed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef. Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food presentation. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.

Experience

Previous kitchen experience is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking. Culinary experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required. Experience in serving or front-of-house roles would be advantageous but not mandatory.
