We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest culinary standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
