The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all food safety standards are met. Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during service hours
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to customers
Support the kitchen team with other duties as required, including plating and garnishing
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, especially in fast-paced environments
Ability to serve customers courteously when required, demonstrating good communication skills
