Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in meal preparation techniques, including cooking methods and ingredient handling. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
