We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation and meal preparation tasks are executed to the highest standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and a commitment to delivering exceptional dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the overall food preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation standards for each dish served.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols as needed.
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
