Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Follow food safety guidelines and maintain hygiene standards at all times
Assist with meal preparation and plating for service
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation as needed
Participate in training new kitchen staff members when required
Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
Previous experience in meal preparation and cooking is highly desirable
