We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our quality expectations. This position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Maintain equipment and kitchen utensils in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment is preferred.
A background in culinary arts or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
