We are excited to announce an opportunity for an ambitious and skilled Chef de Partie to join our brand new kitchen team at The Ship Hotel, Leigh-On-Sea. As a passionate chef looking to grow, you'll play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences from day one.

In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for leading Commis Chefs while executing outstanding cooking techniques. You'll transform fresh, local ingredients into memorable dishes, working closely with our experienced kitchen team.

Your Day-to-Day as a Chef de Partie:

Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes with creativity and precision Execute recipes and cooking techniques with consistent excellence Ensure smooth kitchen operations Maintain impeccable standards of food preparation and kitchen hygiene Assist in menu development and recipe creation Manage mise en place and ingredient preparation Monitor and control portion sizes and ingredient usage Promptly report any equipment issues or supply shortages Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment

What We're Looking for:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in professional kitchen roles Strong cooking skills and technique Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for team leadership Basic understanding of menu planning and recipe development Proven ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Passion for great food and professional growth Reliability and commitment to kitchen excellence
