We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part time (evenings) Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Leading on the pastry section and ensuring all desserts are fully prepared and ready for service.
Plating of food to the Head Chef's specifications and standards in a timely manner.
This role would be an excellent opportunity for a junior chef de Partie looking to take the next step in their culinary journey.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
