We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards in our busy kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and utensils after use.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in meal preparation techniques with an understanding of various cooking methods.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
