Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in food safety and culinary techniques will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols. Participate in menu planning and development as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar establishment is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
