We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the meal preparation process, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are consistently followed in the kitchen.
Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and equipment.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation is advantageous.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
