Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Follow food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety policies Assist with meal presentation to ensure visual appeal of each dish Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure efficient workflow Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee quality and consistency

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices Previous kitchen experience, including working under pressure in busy settings, is highly desirable Experience serving customers or working in hospitality is advantageous but not essential
