We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delicious meals in a fast-paced pub environment. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Skills
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
