We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team, to work 5 evenings a week. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations within a restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management
Clean and organise kitchen equipment and workstations after use
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality food preparation
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
