We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The Hare & Hounds is a three floors pub, with a restaurant and an event space so the ability to learn and perform different menus is essential.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Support the Head Chef with both preps and service ensuring the highest standards
Support the Head Chef in running all kitchen operations and deputise in his absence
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and development by providing feedback on new dishes or specials.
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
At least one year in similar role preferably with British food
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. .
