Barang are seeking a talented and dedicated Line Cook to join our Borough Market team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking (with experience in cooking South-East Asian cuisine) and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, open fire focused kitchen environment.
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably 2 years as a CDP in a fast paced restaurant setting.
Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team.
