We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation while adhering to food safety regulations.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and sanitised after use.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or in other kitchen roles within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
