We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our restaurant's standards, ensuring that every dish is presented beautifully and meets our customers' expectations.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage practices.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in the development of new menu items and specials as required.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, with a focus on line cooking or similar roles.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy environment.
