Duties



Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines, ensuring top-quality food production. Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish development and seasonal offerings that align with culinary trends. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Oversee food service during busy periods or special events such as banquets and catering functions, ensuring timely delivery of dishes. Support kitchen management in shift coordination, ensuring smooth operations from prep to service while managing kitchen workflow effectively.

Requirements



Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience overseeing culinary teams or shifts. Extensive banquet experience along with catering knowledge to handle large-scale events confidently. Familiarity with dietary requirements and the ability to prepare specialized menus accordingly. Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent team management skills to motivate staff and maintain high standards. Knowledge of inventory management practices, including stock control and cost optimization strategies. Solid understanding of food safety regulations, proper food handling techniques, and hygiene practices within the hospitality industry. Experience working in restaurant settings with menu planning, food preparation, and service management responsibilities.
