Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in London, EC4A.


The kitchen operates Monday to Friday, with working hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm, offering an excellent work-life balance. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) based in a vibrant staff restaurant environment. Occasional overtime may be required to support fine dining and hospitality events.


The role involves catering for approximately 150 covers per day, delivering a buffet breakfast with hot and cold options, deli sandwiches, bistro-style lunches, and a fresh salad bar. Our kitchen team of six enjoys full autonomy to craft expressive, seasonal menus made entirely from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. We take pride in creativity, quality, and a genuine passion for great food.


We place a strong emphasis on consistency, teamwork, and customer satisfaction across all service styles, from buffet and bistro service to plated fine dining events. This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie who thrives in a professional yet creative environment.


Key Responsibilities


Take ownership of your section, including setup, preparation, cooking, service, and breakdown Prepare and present dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency, correct portioning, and recipe compliance Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations (HACCP, COSHH), including temperature checks Monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients, control waste, and support cost-effective food production Train, guide, and supervise Commis Chefs or junior team members, working collaboratively within the brigade Support menu development and contribute creative ideas for daily service and hospitality events Ensure food meets client and customer expectations, adapting to various service styles including buffet, bistro, and fine dining
