Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef du partie to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of food production and safety standards. As a Chef du partie, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations as part of the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your expertise in hospitality will be crucial in creating a positive work environment and delivering outstanding culinary results. We are looking for individuals passionate about food who have a good eye for presentation to work a small kitchen. Food items focus on breakfast service, meat and cheese deli boards, sandwiches, salads and simple hot food dishes requiring basic preparation. Check management is a key required skill as well as the ability to work under pressure at busy time. Being a team player is a must within this tight knit team.

Duties



Supervise kitchen porter staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Help manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Assist in developing new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment. In-depth knowledge of food production techniques and food safety practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Passion for culinary arts with a desire to help others develop their skills in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
