We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality dishes in a timely manner. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare food items.
Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef.
Help with menu planning and special requests from guests when necessary.
Skills
Proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
A proactive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen and contributing to a positive work environment.
