Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards Cook food items efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and safety standards Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitising work areas Follow food safety protocols and hygiene regulations at all times Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for upcoming shifts Support the team during service hours by serving food when required

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles Previous experience working in a busy kitchen setting is desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if necessary A genuine passion for food and customer satisfaction
