We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDP to join our vibrant kitchen team. As CDP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CDP or in a similar role within a restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
