We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Hello Oriental. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Skills
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Team player with good communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
