Our clubhouse offers casual dining, seasonal menus, and elegant event catering, all crafted with precision and care. We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen brigade.
Job Summary:
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing different sections of the kitchen and ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to support the club's reputation for high standard of daily dining and private events.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard (e.g., vegetables, larder, sauces, pastry)
Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation of all food items
Supervise, train and motivate junior staff (Commis Chefs, Kitchen Porters)
Support compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Collaborate on menu development and contribute creative ideas
Manage stock rotation, minimise waste, and ensure prompt ordering of supplies
Support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service (e.g., events, weddings, tournaments)
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef in a premium dining environment
Qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Strong understanding of food safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or above)
High attention to detail and passion for food quality and presentation
Ability to work calmly under pressure support other team members and multitask during busy service periods
Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Desirable:
Experience in event or banqueting catering
Knowledge of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
