Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with experience working in a fast-paced pub/ restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills further while contributing to the delivery of high-quality dishes to our valued customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking meals to specification, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards Cook a variety of menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency Assist with meal preparation during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff Support other kitchen staff as needed, including cleaning, stock rotation, and assisting with inventory checks Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised through proper handling procedures

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering setting is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques will be highly regarded Familiarity with serving in a fast-paced environment demonstrates the ability to work efficiently under pressure A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the kitchen is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
