We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, along with the ability to prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
Experience
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
