We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards and served promptly to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
