As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in the development of new menu items and meal preparation techniques.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential.
Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required.
Experience in serving meals and understanding customer service principles is an advantage.
