About Jesmond Dene House

Jesmond Dene House is an award-winning 4 Red Star hotel with 2 Rosette Restaurant and Bar, 5 minutes from Newcastle-upon-Tyne city centre. This historic property contains 41 bedrooms, banqueting and private dining facilities as well as all day dining. Our award-winning Head Chef Gareth Rayner is looking for a team member who is able to manage and run a small section within the kitchen. Having previous experience would be beneficial for this role. We are looking for someone with; passion, dedication and a love for food!

Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of preparation, presentation, and service. Work closely with the Sous Chefs and Head Chef to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes. Support junior chefs through training, guidance, and supervision. Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen cleanliness at all times. Contribute ideas for new menus and seasonal dishes.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality kitchen or similar dining environment. Strong understanding of modern British cuisine and seasonal produce. A team player with a passion for excellence and attention to detail. Relevant culinary qualifications and food hygiene certification.
