As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that every dish meets our pubs standards for taste and quality.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous kitchen experience is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Culinary experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, showcasing your ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is crucial to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Experience serving customers in a dining environment will be advantageous, enhancing your understanding of the overall dining experience.
