Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team in the evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing meals efficiently and ensuring that all dishes are presented beautifully.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the flow of service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
