to join our amazing kitchen Team. Working under the guidance of the Executive Head Chef, Lee Clarke, the Chef de Partie Pastry contributes to the overall success of the culinary team by consistently producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for the entire week's service, as well as special events, conferences and weddings. Always maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring efficient kitchen operations and ensuring adherence to all food safety and government guidelines.
Responsibilities
Develop and produce pastry including a variety of desserts, baked goods, and specialty items for the week ahead.
Create customized pastry offerings for events, weddings, and other special occasions, aligning with client preferences and dietary requirements.
Work efficiently to prepare a range of pastries and desserts, ensuring they are of consistent quality and taste.
Monitor production timelines to ensure all items are ready for service and events according to schedule.
Maintain the agreed-upon par stock levels for desserts and pastries in alignment with the direction provided by the Executive Chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure the safety of all food served.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
To ensure that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
To prepare, cook and serve food as specified by the Head Chef and to ensure that the food meets the appropriate specification.
To assist the Head Chef to supervise the Commis Chefs in all food preparation and food production in all kitchens.
Participate in menu planning and development as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
