We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and served in a timely manner. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and sanitised. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of meals is served. Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.96-14.65 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
