We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line CDP to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills and contribute to a high-quality dining experience. The ideal candidate will have prior kitchen experience, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station in compliance with food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with plating dishes attractively for service
Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous experience serving customers or assisting in front-of-house duties is advantageous but not essential
Passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in food trends and techniques
