Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the organisation of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Help maintain equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
