Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic new kitchen team in our newly refurbished coastal pub.. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our culinary operations, ensuring that high-quality meals are prepared efficiently and safely. This position requires a passion for food preparation and an understanding of kitchen dynamics, as well as a commitment to maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking stations are tidy and well-stocked. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of meals is served. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
