Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Assist in plating and presentation of dishes to ensure visual appeal Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of kitchen equipment Support team members during busy periods, fostering a collaborative work environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering setting Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary trends is desirable Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential
