We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices at all times
Assist in meal preparation for special events or menu changes
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation as needed
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in food preparation or serving is advantageous
