Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages
Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen
Participate in menu planning and development as needed
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable
