Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Manage kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Assist in the development of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Creativity in menu design and presentation, with an eye for detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills.
