to join our dynamic kitchen team in delivering high-quality, contemporary Asian tapas dishes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Asian or fusion cuisine and a strong understanding of flavour balance, presentation, and consistency. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to execute small plates designed for sharing, combining authentic Asian flavours with modern techniques.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes from our Asian tapas menu to the highest standards.
Ensure all dishes are consistently executed according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Assist with mise en place and ingredient preparation, maintaining freshness and quality at all times.
Uphold exceptional kitchen hygiene and food safety standards, following all HACCP and EHO regulations.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver timely and efficient service, especially during busy service periods.
Monitor and report stock levels, ensuring minimal waste and efficient ordering.
Support the Head Chef with menu development, offering ideas for new small plates and seasonal specials.
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Asian cooking techniques and kitchen best practices.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or Commis Chef in a high-quality restaurant environment (Asian cuisine preferred).
Solid understanding of wok cookery, stir-frying, steaming, grilling, and sauce preparation.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with Asian ingredients, flavours, and plating styles.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A genuine passion for Asian cuisine and the creativity to contribute to a modern sharing-style menu.
