We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our restaurant's standards and food safety regulations.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food items prepared.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Help develop new menu items and contribute to the overall culinary creativity of the restaurant.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills.
