We are looking to add to our kitchen team with a Chef's position available. Working in a family owned and run Hotel, Bar and Restaurant boasting a busy, reputable, established restaurant in a fast paced yet comfortable working environment. The role will be working with a large kitchen team under the guidance of the general manager and head chef.
The Role:
Preparation for shift ahead.
Working with fresh ingredients to supplement various menus.
The service of food during peak periods.
Stock management and ordering.
The devising and cooking of daily specials.
Working on various stations alongside the kitchen team.
Adhering to food hygiene standards and health and safety procedures.
Working to a two week rota on shifts. Weekends are compulsory, shift times are between 8am and 9.30pm.
Responsibilities:
To ensure high standards of service are met within a fast paced kitchen.
Excellent timekeeping and reliability is expected. Candidates must be of a hard working, friendly nature.
To communicate any problems, changes or requests on orders to the front of house team.
Ensuring shifts are finished and cleaned down to a specific standard in the kitchen.
To maintain the friendly working environment management encourages.
